Studio
A small studio for useful software
What Arabis Works is
Arabis Works develops original software products, creative design tools and web applications, and takes on selected custom software projects. It is the public brand of Arabis Information Technology Services, a business registered in the Philippines.
The studio's best-known product is Buildplate Studio, a set of browser-based product designers for 3D-printing businesses. Made by Aldrin, a creator storefront and membership, is in development. Smaller tools and experiments live alongside them on the work page.
Why it exists
The products started separately, each under its own name. Bringing them under one studio gives customers, partners and payment providers one clear business behind them, with one place to find its contact details and policies.
Each product keeps its own name, brand and website. Purchases, subscriptions and their refund terms are handled on each product's own site; see refunds and cancellations.
How we approach the work
Useful first
Every product starts from a job someone is already doing by hand. If it does not make that job shorter or more reliable, it does not ship.
Narrow tools, done properly
A tool that knows its product can hide the complexity a general tool exposes. We would rather build sixty focused designers than one editor that needs a manual.
Honest about status
Released means released. Prototypes, betas and plans are labelled as such, on this site and in the products themselves.
Areas of expertise
Custom web applications
Focused applications, business tools and specialized web platforms.
Creative software and configurators
Interactive design tools and product configurators for things that get made.
Developer tools and automation
Workflows, integrations and internal systems that remove repetitive work.
Interactive 3D experiences
Web-based 3D visualization, previews and model interaction.
Founder
Aldrin Arabis
Arabis Works is a one-person, founder-led studio. I design, build and run its products myself: the interfaces, the geometry and 3D work, the payment and licensing flows, and the infrastructure they run on.
When "we" appears on this site it means the studio as a brand. When a project needs more hands, I will say so up front rather than imply a team that is not there.
